Comedy Archive for macOS

Bring approved local files, Google Drive material and Gmail together on an encrypted drive, with a record of where each original belongs.

Local capture

Choose source folders, review their inventory, select what to copy, and verify the saved bytes. Captures and application working files stay beside the app on the encrypted drive.

Read-only Google capture

Sign in through Google in your normal browser. Review read-only access to Google Drive files, including Google Docs, and Gmail. Then choose Drive or Gmail in Material Ingest, inventory the source, review a selection and explicitly copy it to the drive. Signing in alone does not download material.

Your control

The Google connection is read-only. It does not add collaborators, edit documents, send mail or delete account data. You can revoke access in your Google Account.

To connect an account, open Material Ingest on the encrypted drive and choose File → Connect Google Source. This website provides information only and does not collect sign-ins, documents or email.

View captured material

Preview verified PDFs, images and supported text inside the app, alongside their original locations. Captures are snapshots: a Google Doc remains a Google Doc, and original files stay where they are. Notes and Pages exports require a separate manual step. Live synchronization and catalog search are future work.

Before you start

The app supports Apple silicon and Intel Macs running macOS 13.5 or later. It is a development build with a locally signed, unnotarized app. Follow the included guide and rehearse with the synthetic Practice Files before capturing approved material.
